These birds were sacred to which Greek goddess? Amazon Quiz Answers

Aphrodite is an ancient Greek goddess associated with love, lust, beauty, pleasure, passion, fertility, and her contemporary Roman goddess counterpart Venus is associated with desire, sex, fertility, prosperity, and victory. Major symbols of Aphrodite include shells, myrtle, roses, doves, sparrows, and swans. The cult of Aphrodite was largely derived from the Phoenician goddess Astarte, who was cognate to the East Semitic goddess Ishtar, whose cult was based on the Sumerian cult of Inanna. The main cult centers of Aphrodite were Cythera, Cyprus, Corinth and Athens. Their main festival was Aphrodisia, celebrated every year in the middle of summer. In Laconia, Aphrodite was worshiped as a warrior goddess. She was also the patron goddess of prostitutes, an institution that inspired early scholars to propose the concept of "sacred prostitution" in Greco-Roman culture, an idea now generally considered false.
